We are a small bulldog breeder/exhibitor in central Iowa. We are proud members of the Bulldog Club of Central Iowa and the Bulldog Club of America. We have had bulldogs for 12 years. Our first bulldog was Clayton, who animated our house for seven years! A few years after Clayton's passing, our family missed those bully noises and decided to start a breeding program. After studying pedigrees and the standard, we began to look for our foundation bitches.
Luckily we found Ruth McIntosh from Oklahoma where we discovered our next bulldog, Dottie. I fell in love with Dottie instantly but she was my husband Chris's girl, and liked to perch at his feet on the couch. I realized we would need another girl and I decided to look for a variety in bloodlines. This search was short-lived, as we found Roxanne Williamson and our second girl, Emma, right here in Iowa. Roxie has become a fast friend and has helped us get started in showing our bulldogs.
Roxie trained Dottie for us and trained me on how to handle bulldogs in the show ring. I was hooked! I love the thrill of having others appreciate the qualities of our beloved bulldogs. Linda Shelberg has also become a mentor and friend, helping us get started with breeding. Linda has been there for us through the anxiety of our first litter, glueing ears and helping us find happy homes for our babies!
Lastly, I want to give a THANK YOU to Dr. Nancy & Bob Newcomb. We bred Dottie to their Newcomb's Konner J. They now own and show 'Oinkers' out of that litter, who is now 'Newcomb's unforgettable Nat'. Since then they have helped us along the journey and become great friends. Thanks to all our mentors, we couldn't do it without you.
Hope you enjoy our site and please contact us if we can help YOU or answer any questions. We LOVE this breed and with so many animals in need of homes we strive to be the best - there really is no other reason! - Michelle Cazett
